The concept for Not A Rave.com was born on New Year's Eve 2006 as a result of it's founder Kallahan Benjamin & her sister Georgina's vain search for something to do to bring in the new year.

Finding things to fill your free time (especially on NYE) is simple if all you want to do is rave or go to pubs & bars. But a boozy atmosphere is not for everyone.

This site aims to provide alternative events and entertainment opportunities in one place, so,  instead of trawling through the internet & magazines looking for things to do, we do the leg work for you so that with one simple search you can find lots of entertainment options all over London.

Message from the Founder

"Hi all, Kallahan here! As an out-going Seventh-day adventist Christian I've found that there seemed to be only a limited amount of social activities to participate in (especially in the evening) that didn't conflict with my principles. Now I'm pretty sure that there are other people out there, regardless of their faith that are not into the clubbing scene or just want something different to do. That's why I set up Not A Rave.com

The media these days seems to just be pushing one thing, one image, a 'popular culture' all wrapped up in americanised music videos and celebrity. Let's push the boundaries, let's step out of the box - That's what Not a rave is all about!"
